Friends, I have been a little behind in posting updates on our free eye camps for want of time so here I am posting an update on another camp we did last month on the 20th of September. This eye camp was organised at the Govt. dispensary at Ratanada. There is no eye care provider in this dispensary and we have adopted it for the last 14 years for providing eye care services. There were 48 patients that were examined and treated free of charge and 7 free cataract surgeries performed, each one receiving a foldable lens implant. The picture does not show three patients who were postponed because of uncontrolled blood pressure or redness in the eye. After appropriate treatment they were taken up for surgery a week later.
