Green Fields of Asanda

As we journeyed to Asanda, a quaint village nestled in the Nagaur district, we were greeted by an unexpected sight: lush green fields flourishing with vegetables like onions and plums. In the heart of the arid desert, this scene was nothing short of a miracle—an oasis nurtured by a tube well and an efficient drip irrigation system.

Our visit on January 21, 2025, was prompted by Mrs. Shipra Prajapat, a dedicated resident of the village. Mrs. Prajapat has made it her life’s mission to assist the less fortunate, utilizing the bountiful yields from her farm. It was on her verdant land that we set up our temporary clinic for the day.

Amidst the rustic charm of the farmhouse, we examined and treated 69 patients. Additionally, we selected 10 patients for free cataract surgery and arranged for their transportation to Jodhpur. Remarkably, these patients underwent their surgeries free of charge that very same evening.
