Kheenvsar, a charming town nestled 110 kilometers north of Jodhpur, became the focal point of hope and healing on the 21st of February, 2025, as we organized a free eye camp. This noble initiative was generously sponsored by the All India Lime Manufacturers Association, marking their second contribution to such a cause this year.
The camp was hosted in the serene and beautifully maintained campus of the Hanumanji Mandir. Set amidst the arid landscape of Rajasthan, the temple’s lush gardens and spotless surroundings offered a heartwarming contrast and served as an ideal venue for this humanitarian effort.
During the camp, we provided on-site eye care to 172 patients, addressing a variety of Eye diseases. Out of these, 20 individuals were identified as candidates for free cataract surgery—a life-changing procedure. Additionally, 42 eyeglasses were dispensed to those with refractive errors, bringing immediate improvement to their quality of life.
For the patients requiring surgery, transportation was arranged to our base hospital in Jodhpur, where they received advanced care, including cataract removal and artificial lens implantation, at no cost. This seamless process, from diagnosis to surgery and post-operative care, exemplifies our commitment to eradicating avoidable blindness in the region.
We invite you to enjoy the accompanying photos, which beautifully capture the spirit of this eye camp—the dedication of our team, the gratitude of the community, and the transformation that eye care can bring to lives.
